  公共卫生与预防医学实验教学中心(以下简称“中心”)隶属于首都医科大学公共卫生学院,中心成立于2004年,2010年获批“北京市高等学校实验教学示范中心”, 2014年高水平地通过了北京市级实验教学示范中心验收。中心组建和发展过程经历了“保障教学、整合优化、能力建设、创新提高”四个阶段。

  一、教学理念

  经过多年的建设发展,中心确定了先进的实验实践教学理念,按照“三位一体”的办学模式,构建了“两条主线”、“六大模块”实验实践教学体系。中心以我国医学教育改革和公共卫生实践为导向,以学生为中心,以一流教师队伍为依托,以完善的实验教学体系为基础,以制度和条件为保障,建设国内一流的公共卫生与预防医学实验教学示范中心。

  二、教学队伍

中心现有专职教师26人,兼职教师68人,高级职称50人,博士生导师13名,硕士生导师28名,70%的教师具有博士学位。中心主任由学院教学副院长、北京市教学名师、博士生导师郭秀花教授担任。此外,学院还聘任了预防医学专业现场实习教师111名。

  三、实验条件

中心实验室的总面积约2121平方米,本科生教学主体位于第二教学楼,面积1636平方米。其中,九层有18个自然间,包括3个基础实验室、3个综合实验室、1个微生物检测室、1个流行病与卫生统计学实验室、4个分析仪器实验室和6个准备室,可同时容纳120人做实验;四层是学生统计学软件实习和数据处理中心,有7个计算机房,可满足学生“一人一机”教学。本科生科研创新项目以及研究生教学实验室主要位于基础科研楼12层。

  近五年,国家、北京市教委和学校向本中心投入经费2700多万元;目前,中心拥有仪器设备1300多台,主要的大型仪器设备有:气相色谱与质谱联用仪、高效液相色谱仪、电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱仪、原子吸收分光光度计等。

  四、教学任务

  本中心的主要教学对象是预防医学专业的学生,也承担其他专业与预防医学相关的实验教学任务。在教学过程中不断研究和探索实验教学的基本规律,从预防医学群体健康角度出发,结合公共卫生工作实际需求,对所设实验内容精心设计,打破传统的课程和学科界限,将实验课全面优化组合,避免课程间的重复,并增加了综合性和设计性实验的比例。在开设的124个本科生实验教学项目中,基础性实验占51.6%,综合性实验占35.5%,创新设计性实验占12.9%

  五、教学成果

  近五年,本中心教师开展了教育教学改革项目62项,发表教学论文124篇,主编或参编教材59部,其中北京市精品教材2部,获得各级教育教学成果奖11项,其中“北京市教育教学成果二等奖”1项,“北京市高等学校教学名师”1名。中心教师承担各级科研课题123项,总经费6500多万元;发表SCI收录科研论文210篇;已授权国家发明专利8项。

  近五年,本科生公开发表科研论文80余篇; 6名本科生分别在全国统计学建模大赛中获得一等奖和三等奖、研究生队获得二等奖;预防医学专业本科生就业率连续三年达100%

  在完善自身建设的同时,中心还十分注重社会服务和辐射作用的建设。近年来依托学院获批的“北京市国际科技合作基地”,与国内外40多所院校开展了交流服务。2015年起面向全市初中生开展了“初中生开放性科学实践活动”项目,为提高学校的知名度和影响力作出了积极贡献。

  六、发展规划

随着医学高等教育改革的深入和学校各项事业的发展,学院将不断加强学科建设,增强学科实力,为建设国内一流的公共卫生与预防医学实验教学示范中心和国内一流的公共卫生学院而努力奋斗!

Introduction to Experimental Teaching Center of Public Health and Preventive Medicine

  The Experimental Teaching Center of Public Health and Preventive Medicine was established in December, 2004.The Center was reorganized and integrated from every department of this School. It is a comprehensive experiment center for teaching and research. Under the guidance of every level of leadership, the Center has been focusing on its construction and development ever since established. Through the procession of integration, adjustment and development, the condition for teaching and search is greatly enhanced. It was authenticated as the Demonstration Center for Experiment Teaching in Beijing in May, 2010.

ITeaching Concept

  After years of development, the center confirmed the advanced experimental teaching idea, in accordance with the trinity of school-running mode; build the two lines, six big modulesexperiment practice teaching system. According to China's medical education reform and public health practice-oriented, based on students, relay on first-class teachers, to build the domestic first-class public health and preventive medicine experimental teaching demonstration center as the goal.

II  The Team

The Center includes 26 full-time teachers ,68 part-time teachers ,50  senior professional posts,13 doctoral supervisors,28 master supervisors. 70% of teachers have Doctor's degree.The director of the center is the vice President of the college, the Beijing teaching master and doctoral tutor, professor Guo Xiuhua. In addition, the college also hired 111 teachers for preventive medicine.

III The Teaching Condition

  The total area of the central laboratory is about 2121 m2, and the main body of the teaching center is in the second teaching building, which is 1636 m2. On the 9 floorof the building , there are 18 rooms , including three basic laboratory, three comprehensive laboratory, one microbiological testing room, and one epidemiology and health statisticslab, four analysis instruments room and six preparation room. These labs can accommodate 120 people at the same time doing the experiment. The fourth floor of the building is the student’s statistics data processing center, which has seven computer rooms, can meet the condition ‘one machine one student’. The undergraduate research innovation program and the postgraduate teaching laboratories are mainly on the 12th floor of the basic research building.

  In the past five years, the state, Beijing municipal education commission and the University have invested more than 27 million Yuan to the center. At present, the center has more than 1300 equipments, such as:gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, high performance liquid chromatograph, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, etc.

IV Teaching Mission

  The main teaching subjects of the center are the students of preventive medicine, and other specialized field. Among the 124 experimental for undergraduate students,51.6% are basic experiment, 35.5% are comprehensive experiment, and 12.9% are innovative design experiment.

V Teaching Achievement

  In recent five years, the teachers have carried out 62 education teaching reform projects, published 124 papers of teaching reform, 59 teaching materials. The teachers undertake 123 research projects at all levels, with a total expenditure of more than 65 million Yuan. Teachers published 210 articles of scientific research. The state has authorized 8 invention patents.

  In the past five years, undergraduate students have published more than 80 scientific papers. Six undergraduate students won the first and third prize in the national statistical modeling competition and the second prize in the graduate team. The employment rate of undergraduates students has been up to 100% for three consecutive years.

  At the same time, the center also attaches great importance to the construction of social services and radiation. In recent years, relying on the "Beijing international science and technology cooperation base" approved by the college, we have conducted exchanges service with over 40 colleges and universities in China and abroad. In 2015, the "open science practice activities" of junior high school students started in the middle school of the city, and made positive contributions to improving the school's reputation and influence.

VI Development Plan

  With the deepening of the reform of medical education and the development of various undertakings in the school, the college will continue to strengthen the constructionof domestic first-class public health and preventive medicine experimental teaching demonstration center.
